Dr Zijun Zhang Granted Prestigious Young Scientists Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China

The National Natural Science Foundation of China awarded Dr Zijun Zhang, Associate Professor of the School of Data Science, the Young Scientists Fund to support his research on renewable energy forecasting titled “Renewable Energy Power Production Forecasting Based on Deep Features of Multi-dimensional Array Input Data”.

With the support of the Centre for System Informatics Engineering at the CityU Shenzhen Research Institute, the three-year research project would identify the problem arising from the renewable energy power production forecasting and propose an efficient computational framework by developing deep learning model.

The Young Scientists Fund aims to support young scientists in selecting topics individually, conducting innovative research and cultivating research talents.
