SDSC adjunct member Professor Kwok Leung TSUI named a 2023 INFORMS Fellow

Congratulations to SDSC’s Adjunct member Professor Kwok Leung TSUI who has been named a 2023 Fellow of the Institute of Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS), one of the most prestigious honors in the operations research (OR) profession.

INFORMS is the leading international association for decision and data sciences, with over 10,000 members spanning industry and academia. INFORMS has officially named 12 outstanding members in this year’s class of fellows and Professor TSUI has been formally inducted during the 2023 INFORMS Annual Meeting held on 15-18 October in Arizona. INFORMS advances and promotes the science and technology of decision-making to save lives, save money, and solve problems.

Professor TSUI is a professor in the Grado Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech. He is being honored for his outstanding contributions and lifetime accomplishments to pioneering research in robust design and long-established research in data science with an impact on manufacturing and other industries, and for leadership in education and within the INFORMS community.
