The Distinguished Seminar discussed on turning data into productivity

Professor Jian PEI delivered the latest instalment in the Distinguished Lecture Series titled “Data Supply Chain: from Resource to Value, from Data to Intelligence” on 30 September 2020.

Using graph computing and graph mining as an example, Professor PEI discussed with the audience on how to build a research and application pipeline from data collection to data products and services with significant values. The participants also had an in-depth discussion of the data supply chain and research in the industry with Professor PEI.

Professor Jian PEI is a Professor in the School of Computing Science and an associate member of the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at Simon Fraser University.

We invite prestigious scholars with expertise in data science to deliver on a range of interesting topics relating to the latest development of data science to the university community.
