The Hong Kong actuarial profession body was initially formed in 1968 as the Actuarial Association of Hong Kong. As of 2023, total membership of the ASHK stands at over 1,200. It is one of the largest such actuarial professional bodies in Asia. The ASHK is governed by an elected Council of 15 members, it sets Professional Standards and Actuarial Guidance Notes for the actuarial profession in Hong Kong.

In this talk, the speakers introduced the role of actuary in insurance company, and how students can enter the actuarial industry as a data science graduate.
