The School of Data Science provides exclusive internship opportunities for students

Internships are a great way to enhance students learning through their gaining valuable real life work experience in related fields of study. 

The School of Data Science has put great efforts into soliciting and lining up internship places for our students. Through practical on-the-job training in multidisciplinary fields, it provides a platform for our junior “data scientists” to refine knowledge, improve interpersonal skills, and build up networks with associates for taking up professional roles such as data analyst, software developer, AI Engineer upon their graduation. To motivate students to take up interns, a briefing hosted by our Internship Coordinator Dr Zhang Qingpeng on 5 March was well-received. To support our students get ready for internship placements, recruitment talks and pre-internship training will continue to roll out in the coming months.  

By now SDSC has successfully developed a substantial number of SDSC-privileged interns collaborations with companies at different locations. To name a few, our partners include Active Care Group, APSTAR, ASTRI, China Telecom, Fleet Management Limited, InnoHK, KG Data, NetEase Games, Nova Credit, Ocean Park, Reinsurance Group of America, SF Express, Skieer, TianYanCha and Wengegroup, etc. (in alphabetical order).  We envisage a lot more new internship opportunities to come!
