Dr Qingpeng Zhang Receives an Innovation and Technology Fund from the Innovation and Technology Commission

The Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) has announced that an Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) of HKD 1.84 million under the Mainland-Hong Kong Joint Funding Scheme (MHKJFS) will be awarded to Dr Qingpeng Zhang, Associate Professor of the School of Data Science, for his research project titled “Key Technologies and Systems of Distributed Knowledge Graph Data Management.” The project is a collaboration with Professor Xin Wang of the School of Artificial Intelligence at Tianjin University, Renmin University of China, and the General Data Technology Co., LTD.

The MHKJFS is a joint funding scheme by ITC of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of the People’s Republic of China. This research project will develop distributed knowledge graph data management systems and devise knowledge-enhanced deep learning methods to predict the risk of various clinical outcomes for individual patients.
