President Way Kuo delivered a plenary at the 9th Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Advanced Reliability and Maintenance Modelling

President Way Kuo was invited to deliver a plenary speech in the 9th Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Advanced Reliability and Maintenance Modelling (APARM 2020) on Data-driven Crisis Management. The APARM conference series, held bi-annually, took place in Vancouver, Canada during August 20 - 23, 2020. The conference this year was in the virtual format, provided a friendly platform for synergistic exchanges of ideas and practices among academics and industry practitioners. Professor Way Kuo has been President of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) since 14 May 2008. He is Professor with the School of Data Science and University Distinguished Professor at CityU. He is a Member of the US National Academy of Engineering and member of the Academia Sinica in Taiwan, a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and a Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Engineering. He is also a founding member of the Hong Kong Academy of Sciences and a senior fellow of the Institute for Advanced Study at CityU. As a pioneer in reliability research of systems at their infant stage, Professor Kuo is renowned for his work in designing the reliability of electronics systems and nuclear energy and has made breakthroughs in nano-reliability research.
